Theriot Family Dental

About the Staff

Tina Smith — Registered Dental Hygienist

Tina joined our dental team over 15 years ago! In 1992, she graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in finance, and then in 1995, she graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry. She enjoys the intimate relationships she has been able to cultivate while she has worked at our practice. Tina has been married for over 20 years and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising. She loves both cats and dogs. When she was 5, she thought she would grow up to be a lawyer. If she were not a hygienist, she would be a therapist. If she won the lottery, she would pay off her bills.

Traci Rayburn — Office Manager

Traci has been part of our practice for over a year, but she previously worked for another practice for eight years. She is certified as an expanded duties dental assistant and is trained in all front desk duties, which means she can assist in all areas of the practice. She likes that we care for the wants and needs of our team and that we feel like a family. Traci has a son, Trey. If she won the lottery tomorrow, she would take an extended cruise. Her favorite comfort foods are Mexican and Chinese food. When she was 5, she wanted to be a teacher. And if she were a pasta shape, she would be a bow tie because it is so fancy!

Regan Jones

Regan Jones – Office Administrator

Growing up in Gonzales, Louisiana, Regan loved going to the dentist for cleanings and check ups. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated in 2020 with a degree in Healthcare Management. She knew she wanted to work in the healthcare industry, though she wasn’t sure which one. “I’m so glad I landed in dentistry,” Regan said. “It’s a great feeling and so rewarding to be able to help patients improve their smiles and oral health.”

When Regan isn’t working, she loves to hang out with friends and family, shop online, travel, and goof off with her dog named Louie.

Brandi Cothren – Dental Hygienist

Brandi has worked in the dental field since before the year 2000, but isn’t ready to admit how much before. A native of Baton Rouge, Brandi graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry. In addition to her care of our patients, she also cares for a husband, two children, and two dogs.

Regan Kelly – Dental Assistant

Regan started working with us in the year 2020 and has been the bright spot in a tumultuous year. The joy of seeing people smile and the immediate rewards of the work done on their teeth is what attracted Regan to dentistry. In fact, she plans on being a dentist herself one day, so working with Dr. Theriot and his team are the perfect preparation for her future. Regan finds it particularly satisfying that as she is helping improve someone’s smile they develop a relationship. It helps her look forward to work every day. “I love my job,” Regan said. “There is never a bad day with my wonderful coworkers!” When she isn’t at work, you can find Regan dancing, catching up with friends, or watching basketball.

Hai

Hai St. Romain – Dental Assistant

Hai lives in Baton Rouge. When she isn’t working she loves to go camping and hiking. She and her husband have two daughters.

Shannon

Shannon Bourgeois – Registered Dental Hygienist

Shannon grew up in Louisiana. Originally from White Castle, she now lives in St. Amant. Shannon ended up in the dental field on a whim. She needed a job and went to dental assisting school. From there, she became an expanded duty dental assistant. By this time, Shannon fell in love with dentistry and decided to go back to school and become a dental hygienist. “I love being able to educate patients about things they nay not have been aware of,” she said. “That could be anything from explaining periodontal disease or just simply showing them the correct way to floss. It’s also a joy to get to know my patients.” Shannon is married. She and her husband have four kids, two dogs, and nine chickens. When she isn’t working or taking care of everyone Shannon loves to do crafts, journaling, and volunteering in her children’s ministry at church.
